Story
Just over two years ago, in December 2020 my daughter Daisy-May received a life-saving kidney transplant after enduring 14 months of dialysis due ‘Kidney Dysplasia’ which means her kidneys did not develop fully in the womb and therefore were unable to function.
Sadly a transplant is not a cure, but a lifelong treatment, and without the ongoing support of the Team at Evelina London our story could have been very different.
Therefore, to fundraise and support the Evelina Children’s Charity my first event will be to cycle 100 miles from Evelina London to Southampton with other parents, family members, consultants, nurses etc on 1st July.
Then secondly I will be cycling from Evelina London to Coventry for the National British Transplant Games where all children and adults come together to compete in sporting events and celebrate organ donation, on 26th July.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any donation you can spare during these extremely tough times. For every mile I cycle, I know that together we will support families like ours during those tough times.
Donations that are generously made will all be allocated to the Paediatric Transplant Fund at Evelina London Childrens Charity.
