I am 60 in December and have always wanted to take part in an iconic abseil, so when SCFT asked for volunteers for this fundraising event I couldn't resist.

I'm dropping an exhilarating 138 metres from the iconic Brighton i360 at twilight to raise funds for Sussex Community NHS Charity, enhancing NHS care in the heart of our community. I have worked for the trust since 2005 and have seen the support they offer to staff and patients grow as a result of the money raised by the charity. This has been particularly important over the last 3 years, when the need for "extras" has been vital.
