Story
At the end of last year, we lost our wonderful friend Jake to suicide. He was a loving son, brother, husband and dad. To us, he was a fun, caring, ambitious, humble, friend we’d all known since school.
Jake competed in formula racing for most of his life, so, in his true competitive (and sporting) spirit, a group of us have decided to take on the hilly Sheffield Half Marathon this April in his memory to raise money for Mind.
Suicide continues to be the biggest killer of men under 50 in the UK. And that has to stop. Not only are we hoping to support the fantastic work of Mind through this challenge, but we want to open up conversation and break down the stigma that still surrounds mental health illnesses. Please donate whatever you can, as every little helps. And if you’re in Sheffield on April 7th we urge you to come and cheer us on as we know we’ll all need it.
Alex, Brodie, Bailey, Boot, Charlotte, Deano, Georgios, Greeno, Harvey, Immy, Joe, Jojo, Mark, Olivia and Paddy.
