We offer holidays armed forces personnel to improve their mental wellbeing

Story

Members of the Royal Logistic Corps will swim from Dover to France and then back again in July 2024. Please consider supporting this extremely arduous challenge by donating to one of our chosen charities to the right of this page. This swim will be first attempt in m military history for a mixed relay team The military have not completed a 2 Way Channel Relay since 1993!

Lord Kitchener Memorial Holiday Centre is a unique Suffolk charity overlooking the sea in south Lowestoft, offering hotel style holiday accommodation to British and Commonwealth ex-armed service men and woman; British ex-merchant service men and women; and recently to British ex-emergency service men and women, and their spouses or partners, widows and widowers.

Great place to stay, very friendly staff and the surrounding are just fabulous. It is an old building that needs maintaining to help provide a safe and relaxing environment for everyone.

Then team will experience a stay at the Kitchener’s 3-5 July and will conduct a 24 hrs Open Water Swim, supported by the The Kitcheners and the RNLI. If you like to meet the team please come along and support us on 04 July 24.

Situated directly on the Lowestoft seafront Kitchener’s is a unique charity offering discounted holiday accommodation to ex-servicemen and women of the armed and emergency services and their families. Set in an impressive mid-nineteenth century building overlooking the gardens and sea . we have ten double or twin en-suite bedrooms. we also have two breakfast clubs that on a regular basis for both veteran and emergency service personnel. we also have a model club and have various other agencies who use the building for drop ins and meetings.
