We are taking part in the Hampshire Hospitals Charity Colour Run to raise funds to support the play team at Basingstoke hospital with VR headsets.

The VR headsets can support all patients with what can be scary procedures when in hospital. Transporting a child to the bottom of an ocean or into space, helps to distract from blood tests, transfusions or any other type of procedure that can cause anxiety and stress.

The VR headsets can also support end of life patients with a trip back to their happy place such as their personal allotment or garden.

This powerful piece of equipment can truly enhance and transform the journey of all patients when in hospital. The hospital have already seen great success within their dementia, mental health and children's departments, and are keen to use this revolutionary equipment with more patients across the trust.

Together we will be dressed in white charity branded t-shirts, we’ll move along the route, receiving splashes of colour from brightly coloured paint balls, thrown by onlookers.
