Story
British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) stands as the primary rescue charity for marine mammals in the UK, responding to over 3000 distress calls annually. This substantial volume of rescues is carried out by dedicated Medics who volunteer their time out of genuine concern for marine life.
Operating as a modest charity with limited resources, BDMLR strategically places equipment in specific locations across the UK to aid in responding to distressed marine mammals.
I'm gearing up for my very first half marathon at the MK Marathon Weekend this May 2024, aiming to raise £500 to ensure that essential equipment is more widely available, allowing BDMLR to swiftly respond to emergencies and safeguard the well-being of their Medics.
