Story
On Friday 11 October, a group of Lower Sixth students (along with some hardy staff!) will be taking part in the Porchlight 50th anniversary Big Sleep Out to raise awareness and funds to combat homelessness, poverty and inequality in Kent.
The number of people facing and experiencing homelessness is higher than it's ever been. This is due to soaring rents, the cost-of-living crisis, and recent cuts to funding. Porchlight are relying on the kindness and generosity of their supporters more than ever right now.
£25 – could fund an hour of outreach support to help rough sleepers off the streets.
£50 – could provide basic welcome packs of food and essentials for two people moving into a hostel.
