To mark the disbandment of 3 Medical Regiment and the subsequent re-designation of 5 Medical Regiment as they take our place in the line as the British Army's Light Role Medical Regiment, the CO of (the current) 3 Medical Regiment will be running with the unit flag from our barracks in Preston to hand it to CO 5 Medical Regiment in Catterick. A total of 119 km, supported by soldiers from the Regiment, were hoping to complete the journey on foot running in true light role style in less than 24 hours.
We would like to support three different charities in equal measure, this being the soldiers of the Regiment's choice in memory of a treasured colleague:
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
