As many people are aware, our wonderful dad/husband had been battling bile duct cancer (cholangiocarcinoma - a rare and aggressive type of cancer) for the last 2 and a half years.
From the day he was diagnosed, we told him that his 3 girls will be with him every step of the way. Since then, we’ve seen traumatising things that no one should ever have to see a loved one go through, but this only proved how strong and determined he was to beat the horrible disease.
He was such a fighter who didn’t deserve to go through the physical and emotional suffering that cancer threw at him. He had an amazing support network of family, friends and work colleagues and he fought until the very end - he was so incredibly brave and just wasn’t ready to go.
Marie Curie West Midlands Hospice in Solihull made dad’s last days so peaceful and we’ll never forget how caring and empathetic each and every staff member was to all of us. We will forever be grateful for how comfortable they made dad feel, but also how supportive they were to us as a family.
Our wonderful dad/husband was a kind and selfless man who was loved by so many people. Our superhero.
We kindly ask that you make donations to Marie Curie Hospice, Marsh Lane, Solihull.
