Story

Safran Electrical & Power UK have chosen The Hospice of St Francis as our charity of the year, and over the course of the next 12 months the Pitstone Team will be undertaking a range of fundraising activities from sponsored walks to site based activities.  We are grateful for your support in our fundraising efforts to support this fantastic local hospice who do so much vital work within our local community.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with The Hospice, it is situated in a beautiful building and grounds on the outskirts of Berkhamsted. They offer a haven of tranquillity and calm at a time when people need it most, enabling people to live their lives well right to the very end of life.

The Hospice consists of a 12 bedroom In-Patient Unit and The Spring Centre which is a wellness and rehabilitation centre and they provide free holistic care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Their services cost over £5m a year to run which equates to £10 per minute, supporting over 2000 people per year, all whilst recieving only 20% of their funding from the NHS.
