Hello 👋🏻 After our all ladies team last year bagged a 🥉bronze medal for our efforts in the Dragon Boat race, we are back here again to raise some pennies for the wonderful local children’s charity Abby’s Heroes.

Last year we wore Granny fancy dress…watch this space for this year’s theme. I even have a new team mate Rob. He is keeping his costume top secret even from me 😬 If you are able to donate we would both be very grateful. Every year, having discovered the news that their child has been diagnosed with cancer, families enter either the Piam Brown Ward for 0-16yr olds, or the TYA Teenage and Young Adults Ward 16-24yrs at UHS University Hospital Southampton.

The whole ethos of Abby's Heroes is to place our arm around the shoulders of these families and support them during this journey. We offer Financial Grants to help with the financial burden of having your child diagnosed, Practical support, Memory Making grants, Welfare Packs, Counselling service for the entire family, as well as two evening meals and a picnic lunch every week. Every single penny is vital to help Abby's Heroes provide these services.
