Why have we chosen to support Richmond Borough Mind?
Richmond Borough Mind are a local independent charity, not a branch of Mind as many people think. This means they are entirely responsible for raising the funds they need to support their work and services.
Based in Richmond, they support local people and provide mental health services for those who experience mental ill health, as well as their carers. With the impact of the pandemic on people’s mental health and now the cost of living crisis, now more than ever Richmond Borough Mind are relying on the support of their community.
Richmond has:
4th worst youth wellbeing scores in London
3rd highest rate of hospital admission for self-harm
1 in 3 of 16-19 year old’s already have a mental health diagnosis
