Turning Blue Monday Bright , 15 January 2024
Blue Monday is thought to be the day when many people struggle with their mental health, after Christmas. The Headlight Project want to raise awareness of mental health issues and give people a reason to smile with their campaign to turn it bright!

Story

Founded in memory of Russ Devereux, the Headlight Project aims to reduce the number of deaths by suicide in the Tees Valley, which has one of the highest regional rates in the country. We aim to achieve this by providing therapy to those bereaved by suicide, and delivering preventative education and training to schools, local businesses and the community.

'A guiding light when the road ahead is dark...'

Sembcorp are taking part in "Turn Blue Monday Bright" Campaign. The third Monday in January is often referred to as ‘Blue Monday’. In the UK, this date is typically when there are most absences from work, days off school, and generally, a day when, with the Christmas festivities a fading memory, people may be feeling low and struggling with their mental health. In 2024, we want to help the Headlight Project turn the day from blue to bright by supporting their awareness campaign on Monday 16th January 2024.

We will be organising a Raffle, Bake Sale and wearing something bright on Monday 15th January - hope to see you all involved.
