Story
I have been a volunteer with Second Chance Pet Adoptions since 2018 in various roles.
Second Chance Pet Adoptions, Raleigh's oldest no-kill rescue organization, has saved the lives of over 18,000 stray & abandoned cats & dogs. This organization is near & dear to my heart for bringing me Harding, whose special way of viewing the world taught me patience and empathy. Also, for bringing me Gemma, the beautiful husky on the Racing for Rescues shirts this year. She was extremely lovable and although we only had her for a short time before she was too sick to go on, she has forever impacted our home!
Scoot is the first foster dog we took in after Gemma passed and this year Scoot and I will be training for Racing for Rescues on May 5th! Scoot is a happy, healthy one year old foster pup with Second Chance Pet Adoptions. He is inquisitive and extremely athletic! We have been fostering him since the summer of 2023 and he has blossomed. What better way for Scoot and I to have fun together while helping his animal brothers and sisters live their best life by raising money for Second Chance Pet Adoptions?
Can you help give more dogs and cats a second chance?
