Seb's fundraiser for Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team

Whitby Whalebones · 4 May 2025
The Team was established in 1965 and normally has around 45 – 50 Search and Rescue Team Members (including probationers) who are on call 24-hours a day, every day of the year.
The team are all volunteers; they have no paid staff and our services are offered free to anyone who needs them. They are reliant on the generosity of local people and groups to cover the £42,000 it costs to run the Team every year.
As a former team member (Buxton) I have first hand experience of how hard the team works .Be it out on the hill doing rescues and training . This includes an annual competency for casualty care .
Throw in some fundraising events and you have a role which could very well be a full time paid one !
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
