Story
My Mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2018, at only 55 years old.
In the years since then, she has rapidly declined.
Mum lost her ability to read and write, and after multiple seizures (caused from Alzheimer's) she slowly lost her ability to care for her basic needs.
Now Mum lives in a nursing home with 24/7 support. No one should ever have to go through something like this.
I am running the London Marathon to help raise money for Alzheimer's Society because there still isn't a cure for this disease, and diagnoses are only increasing.
I would like to raise as much money as possible, to go towards crucial research to help end this disease for good.
Despite everything, Mum has never lost her beautiful and infectious smile. I will be running for the heart-breaking fact that she won't get to see her Grandson, my Son Grayson, grow up. I will be running for my Mum, and for every other family that has been impacted by Alzheimer's.
I hope whoever is reading this can support me in this. Whether it is following me on this difficult journey, sharing our story and where you can, helping me raise as much money as possible.
Thank you for reading and for your support always.
