Event: Let’s follow in Tommy’s Footsteps, on 19 October 2024
Join us to follow in Tommy's footsteps from his hometown, Craigneuk to Celtic Park with stops along the way at Billy McNeill & Jimmy Johnstone's statues and help raise money for our project.

Story

The event will take place on the morning Saturday, 19th October 2024, 3 days after what would have been Tommy's 81st birthday and will see supporters of our charity walk from the site where Tommy's statue will be in Craigneuk to Celtic Park with some stops at Billy McNeill and Jimmy Johnstone's statue along the way.

The Tommy Gemmell Community Project registered as a charity in August 2024 and aim to support the local community in Tommy's name as well as build a statue in his home town.

Every penny raised for the Tommy Gemmell Community Project will go towards the state and supporting community initiatives, something Tommy himself would be proud of.

More than just a statue, thank you for supporting our charity.

About the charity

We decided a community project for a statue of Tommy Gemmell, would be a wonderful way to honour his legacy and contributions to the sport. We will be organising fundraising events to finance the creation and installation of the statue and raise money for the local community.
