Story
Many thanks to everyone that sponsored me so generously for the AFC Wimbledon Foundation charity cycle ride. I smashed my revised target.
Forty miles completed successfully - remnants of a filthy cold and wind gusting up to 40 mph certainly did not help! It has shown me how unfit I am compared to four years ago so still plenty of work to do !!
The major story however was that Patrick (my son for anyone that does not know him) felt so guilty that his father, girlfriend, and flatmate were all riding, decided at the last minute to do the 40 miles himself, having not owned a bike for 20 years and not having ridden one for nearly as long (excluding lime bikes), and he also completed so as they say in France “Chapeau” to him.
I have added a few photos including one of team Patrick at the end
Thanks again
Sean
Please sponsor me…
The AFC Wimbeldon Foundation undertakes great work in the local community, and i am therefore getting back on my bike, amazingly for the first time in 18 months (unbelievable as it is) to give my support and hopefully raise some much needed funds.
I'm cycling 40 miles around the Surrey countryside on Saturday 6 April to raise funds for AFC Wimbledon Foundation, because of the life changing work they do in the local community.
Starting and finishing at Plough Lane, I will be cycling through Morden, passed the Epsom Downs and around the Surrey Hills, so please give generously.
AFC Wimbledon Foundation uses the power of sport to reach those who desperately need help.
- They inspire active lifestyles in local children
- They champion sustainable sports participation for women and girls
- They improve the lives of older people
Whilst I appreciate that you will all receive many sponsorship requests, but would I would appreciate your support, so if you are able to, please give what you can.
Thank you so much.
