Story
I’m joining St. Augustine’s All Together 24 Challenge to help people seeking asylum in Calderdale.. Together we will walk, run, climb, cycle, swim, row and push the 24,907 mile circumference of the Earth to raise £24,000 in 2024. As part of this target I aim to cycle 1,000 miles before the end of the year and to make it a bit tougher for it to include 100,000 feet ascent. This is helped by living in a very hilly part of West Yorkshire!
We believe that people seeking asylum, like all of us, are human beings who deserve to live in safety - no one should be forced to live in a place where they are at risk of grave danger. In the past year, we have helped over 1,500 men, women and children with advice on immigration and asylum and offer a range of training, creative and wellbeing activities.
We can't do what we do without the support of our communities and we have created the All Together 24 Challenge to inspire you to get moving and help those seeking sanctuary when they need it most.
