Alder Hey Dragon Boat Festival 2024 · 18 May 2024 ·

One of our favourite events! 20 teams compete in head to head races across Crosby Marine Lake to be crowned the fastest team on the water. It's fast, it's furious and it's a lot of fun, but you need to be in it to win it!

Story

Join me in supporting Alder Hey as I raise funds to give back to the Trust that made a significant impact on my family's life. My son, Finley, had a journey through Alder Hey's services resulting in surgery. This was during the challenging times of COVID-19, where Alder Hey continued to provide top-notch care and support to children and families in need.

During a time of immense uncertainty and anxiety, Alder Hey provided steadfast support and unwavering care for our family. The dedication and expertise of the medical staff, coupled with the hospital's commitment to innovation and excellence, ensured that my son received the best possible care throughout his treatment.

Our journey through this process also led me to apply for a position at Alder Hey, and I am currently in that role today. It's an honour to work alongside such dedicated professionals and contribute to the exceptional care provided.

Through this fundraiser, I aim to express my gratitude to Alder Hey and help ensure that other families facing similar challenges receive the same level of care and support. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference in the lives of children and families relying on the services provided by the Trust.

Together, lets' make a meaningful difference and support Alder Hey Children's Hospital in their mission to provide outstanding care to young patients and their families.
