Story
We are Liz, Louisa, Shona and Suzy. We are the SCT Strutters.
It’s the charity’s 60th anniversary this year and we’ve decided to take part in the London Walks and strut through the night, tackling a marathon to celebrate six decades of SCT in East London.
We’re part of the SCT family and we passionately believe that it’s possible to help more people find a life beyond homelessness and addiction.
No one chooses a life of homelessness and addiction. People lose their friends and family, they lose their livelihoods and with the average age of death for someone experiencing homelessness standing at 44, too many people lose their lives.
We passionately believe it’s possible to change lives. We see people taking part in SCT’s addictions treatment programme thrive, we see people taking part in training and development sessions find a new sense of self-confidence and we see people learn the skills to maintain a tenancy and move on to a safe and stable home.
SCT helps around 200 people year transform and find a life beyond addiction and homelessness. But more people need our help and we’re raising vital funds by walking through the night.
Can you donate today to help more people find a life beyond homelessness and addiction? Every penny you donate will make a life-changing difference.
