With a milestone birthday fast approaching, I have decided to set myself a challenge whilst raising money for such an important charity at the same time.

Ordinarily, the only Marathon associated with me would be the chocolate bar (an old fashioned Snickers bar to the youngsters reading this) - however in July 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer.

My current fitness regime consists of running…… a bath. Hopefully this indicates just how big of a challenge this is for me.

I will be completing the hiking marathon in memory of my beloved and much missed Auntie Val, who passed away from this cruel disease five years ago. She was a true warrior and inspiration and faced any challenge thrown her way with unfathomable determination and courage - characteristics I hope to channel throughout this challenge.
