Scott's London and Edinburgh Marathon Fundraiser for Asthma + Lung UK

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
The London Marathon is one of the most iconic races in the world — a celebration of endurance, community spirit, and the sheer power of human determination. From the roar of the crowds to the pounding of thousands of feet on the streets of the capital, it’s an unforgettable experience, and I’m honoured to be taking part.
This year, I’m running for Asthma + Lung UK, a charity that holds deep personal meaning for me. They do incredible work supporting people with lung conditions and funding vital research into respiratory health. This cause is especially close to my heart because of my father-in-law, Iain Small, who dedicated his life to respiratory medicine. He was a passionate advocate, a loving family man, and a marathon runner himself. We sadly lost him two years ago, and running this race in his memory makes it all the more meaningful.
For me, this marathon is not just about finishing — it’s about pushing myself further than ever before. I’m aiming to beat my personal best, and getting to this point hasn’t been easy. I’ve had to overcome injury setbacks and some tough battles with my own mental health. But every training mile, every early morning, and every moment of doubt has been worth it to stand here, ready to take on this challenge — for myself, for my family, and for everyone fighting to breathe easier.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, your support will mean the world — not just to me, but to the millions of people who rely on the vital work Asthma + Lung UK do every day. Let’s make every step count.
While I'm at it, I may as well run the Edinburgh Marathon a month later too, eh?
