Scottish Property Centre - Charity Of The Year - 2025
We provide gifts for children facing cancer to bring a little happiness at a hard time

Story

Since our inception in 2004, our Directors have taken pride in engaging with our local communities in the southside of Glasgow and across Argyll and Bute. To date, we have supported many organisations.

In 2025, we are delighted to announce we are supporting The Doing It For Daniel Foundation.

A charity formed by the family of Daniel Caplan, who was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour called DMG/DIPG (Diffuse midline glioma). This is a terminal brainstem tumour mostly affecting children. After a brave fight Daniel, tragically died on 30th November 2020, 7 months after diagnosis.

The Doing It For Daniel Foundation provides financial assistance for children and young people with a cancer diagnosis at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow and The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre by funding special gifts, experiences, days and holidays. They also support brain tumour research, particularly focusing on the childhood brain cancer DIPG.

Gregor Cope, one of our co-directors, commented: "We always aim to get involved with a charity that has a personal connection with either the staff or Directors of Scottish Property Centre. Knowing the Caplan family personally and seeing their achievements in the name of their son Daniel, we are delighted to help in any way we can."

Anything you are able to donate will truly help young people and their families battling cancer.
