Story
As some of you may already know, I recently lost my mum to COPD, a disease that affects the lungs and the body gradually over time. This meant that she relied on the help of palliative care to make her life as comfortable as it could be towards the end stages of her life. Skydiving for this hospice charity holds a special significance for me because of what my mum had to go through, so I am thrilled to be able to take part in this event in order to raise awareness, raise funds and honour my mum's memory. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and I thank you for your ongoing support and love.
THE PRINCESS ALICE HOSPICE:
Princess Alice Hospice provides a range of services to support the individual needs of patients and their loved ones, so that they can live life to the full, create memories, share special moments and support them through, before and after the death of a loved one. We're committed to ensuring that our services are inclusive and we are supporting everyone in ways that work best for them, as individuals. Our Drag Dive day has a particular focus on promoting awareness of barriers faced by our LGBTQ+ community members when accessing hospice and healthcare and how best - and how vital it is - to overcome them. We want to make our Hospice a welcoming place for everyone who needs us.
It costs us £10 million each year to provide free, high quality specialist end of life care to people with life limiting illnesses. We rely on wonderful supporters like you to help us to generate these funds through participating in and supporting events like our Drag Dive. Thank you.
Thank you for your donations <3 Scarlett xo
