Story
Our daughter Scarlett died on 7th January 2025 after struggling with Anorexia.
Scarlett, just 14 years old, was a vibrant, intelligent young woman with a bright future ahead of her. But anorexia cruelly stole that from her.
As a family to say we are completely and utterly devastated would be the greatest understatement of our lives. We are entirely broken to lose such a beautiful, loving, kind, caring, charismatic, cheeky, funny and all round amazing daughter, sister and best friend.
We want to honor Scarlett's memory and thought long and hard about where best any donations could be invested.
In lieu of flowers or should you just wish to donate to an amazing charity, we decided we would like to support Beat, the UK's eating disorder charity.
Their vital work provides crucial support to those struggling with an eating disorder as well as their families.
By donating, you can help ensure that others receive the support and care they so desperately need.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference - approximately 90,000 young women are affected by an eating disorder in the UK every year.
If we can make a difference to even just one of those affected, helping them and their loved ones, your donation will have made a world of difference.
£15 enables Beat to exchange emails with someone with an eating disorder, guiding them on their recovery journey
£25 pays for Beat to answer a Helpline call from someone who feels they have nowhere to turn.
£69 enables Beat to run an online peer support group for people to share their experiences and feel understood
£100 allows Beat to provide webchat support to four young people, helping them take their first steps towards recovery.
Thank you for your compassion and for helping us keep Scarlett's memory alive through this important cause.
