Story
On the 5th October 2024 we will be participating in the Sue Ryder Starlight Hike, we are a team of 9, michelle, Rebecca, Abby, Kay, Jane, Debbie, Paula, Sam and Jo.
We all work with children and young people ensuring they have the best start to life possible, it is important to acknowledge how important the work Sue Ryder do the other end of life. Ensuring people’s last moments are as comfortable and peaceful as possible. The work they do is invaluable to so many lives, those at the end of their life and those they leave behind. Sue Ryder makes sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with their support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.
By donating you can help Sue Ryder provide that all important care.
Last year they cared for more than 8,700 people in their hospices and homes.
Our Online Bereavement Counselling Service, which helps people who are grieving, delivered 4,700 hours of counselling sessions and more than 1,100 hours of assessments last year.
Around £35 could fund a home visit from a Sue Ryder Nurse.
£65 could pay for one Online Bereavement Counselling Service session, supporting someone who is grieving.
£100 could fund four hours of expert care, so our Sue Ryder doctors and nurses can help manage patients’ pain and symptoms.
The work Sue Ryder do is so vital to so many people during such a difficult time. Any donation, no matter how small can really make a difference to people.
