Story
We are very excited to launch our Trustees Challenge for 2024! 🥳
Some of the Trustees are attempting the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the highest peaks of England (Scafell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis) and Wales
(Snowdon). That is a walking distance of 24 miles and 430 miles of traveling in between. Jo (who said she fancied doing a challenge) and Kady are climbing, and Donna will be their chauffeur transporting them from peak to peak, no mean task either. They hope to do it all in 24 hours too. This is reportedly an exhilarating challenge both mentally and physically.
Sensibly Jane, Charly and Sharon opted to swim the equivalent distance of 24 miles and even more sensibly they are doing this in the Pool in Bradford on Avon.
The target is 1536 lengths between them. They have already begun this challenge and as we go to print, they only have 1094 more lengths to do between them!
Ean, who on reflection, I think is the most sensible and has decided to sit down for the whole challenge and cycle the 24 miles on a static Bike in the Gym at Bath Uni.
We are hoping to raise £5000 to set up a fund to help make costs of competitions and events more affordable for all our participants and for running costs of feeds and livery for our horses.
This challenge is open to anyone so if you fancy doing the equivalent 24 miles, by walking your dog, running, knitting, a 24hr silence, skipping or riding or anything else you can think of please join us to help raise money for Saxon Group RDA. We are now also proudly on JustGiving to make fundraising and donating easier than ever. 🥳
