Story
I'm participating in the World AIDS Day RED RUN 2024 in support of PrEPster!
Hey!
If you know me you know I've got a strong passion for ending HIV transmission.
New UK data is showing increases in HIV incidence. The incidence is overrepresented in non-white ethnic minorities which have been systemically marginalised by the health systems since the systems were created.
Major changes to the current HIV prevention approach must be implemented to curtail this increase in incidence. Community informed and based interventions which aim to make sexual health more equitable and accessible must be funded and correctly implemented in the UK.
I am hoping to raise money through the Red Run to benefit Prepster and The Love Tank as I believe they are a fantastic example of an organisation which has the tact to face the complexities of ending HIV transmission.
Through community based interventions and their policy influence, I believe TLT can make a difference in London.
