Story
Firstly, thank you for considering supporting me as I run the London Marathon for the RNIB.
As many of you know, running is not something that comes easily to me but it is nothing compared to the challenges my dear cousin, Indie, has faced and all other visually impaired people around the world. Indie was initially born with cataracts and developed Glaucoma. Over the years, Indie has had numerous operations to protect the little, and sadly reducing, eyesight she has. Indie is an incredible human and I am in awe with how she strides through life with huge courage and determination. I have always been so impressed with the way she gets stuck-in with life and never fails to outshine us all. She is an incredible performer, but my favourite of her hobbies is skiing. Yup, that’s right, Indie fly’s down the ski slopes with grace and determination.
The way she takes on these challenges has been the main source of motivation for me to do the same. I know that when i’m finding those long winter runs tough, or struggling on race day, it will be the memories I have been lucky enough to share with Indie that will keep me determined.
