Story
“At our drop in, one of the hardest parts is watching them walk out of the door and not knowing where they will sleep and if they will be ok!” Dave Cawley, project lead Sunderland Basis
Every day people experiencing homelessness walk miles. Walking to access support, to stay warm or simply keep safe. We are determined to be that place of safety, and support, they need. We’re determined to help them find home. We’re asking you to walk so they don’t have to – a mile a day, or more, during Lent to bring the hope they deserve.
I'm going to walk – or run, cycle, wheel or skip – covering at least 40 miles in 40 days, to raise money and awareness for all those walking daily on the streets in search of hope.
