In a time of fear and uncertainty, join us in the race against time to aid Libya's storm-battered communities. Help us to rebuild lives after Storm Daniel.

Story

On Monday, September 11th, 2023, Libya faced an unprecedented disaster as Storm Daniel unleashed its fury upon the nation. The storm made landfall on Sunday, triggering a state of extreme emergency, especially impacting the eastern cities of Benghazi, Sousse, Derna, and Al-Marj. The situation is dire, and the Libyan Presidential Council has declared three areas in its eastern Cyrenaica province as disaster zones due to catastrophic floods.

The devastation is heart-wrenching, with no internet connection or electricity in many areas, leaving communities in darkness and isolation. The death toll is expected to rise into the thousands, and the need for immediate humanitarian assistance is critical.

In this time of crisis, Human Appeal, in collaboration with its trusted partners, is stepping up to provide life-saving relief. We aim to deliver vital support in the form of food, clean water, medical aid, and shelter to the affected communities.

In collaboration with Human Appeal, me, Yassmin and Anmar will be carrying out an O2 Charity climb in the beginning of October in order to raise awareness for this cause and shed light on the tragedy that has just occurred in eastern Libya.

Any form of donations and shares would be very much appreciated in such unprecedented times.

Jazakallah Kheir.
