Story

The Cancer Clinical Trials Unit at University College London Hospital are proud to be part of Cure Leukaemia's Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network. Their vital support allows us to offer potentially life-saving or life-extending treatments to many leukaemia, and other blood cancer patients, which they would not have access to as standard of care.

As September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month, CCTU staff are taking part in the 'Your 14' challenge to raise awareness that someone is diagnosed with blood cancer every 14 minutes in the UK.

We're taking part in a variety of challenges throughout September, all with a 14 theme:

Laura is doing 14 yoga classes

Lydia and Sarah are taking part in 14 exercise classes

Paul is completing 14 x 5km runs

Maia is joining Cure Leukaemia CEO James McLaughlin on the UCLH leg of the 'Tour of the TAP', running 14 km

Jenny is completing 2 back-to-back 14 km hikes over 2 days, starting at 1400m and going up another 1400m!

Emily is going to complete 14 Polish lessons, starting as a novice

Please consider supporting us throughout September as we complete our challenges.
