Story
In the last 12 months, some of the people I care about the most in my life have lost their parents to cancer. The devastation this disease causes is immeasurable and our hearts are forever broken for Malcolm, Dave and Jane.
Amongst the chaos, the team at St. Ann's Hospice offered care, comfort and a place of warmth when it was needed the most. I am forever in awe of the staff who look after the patients, and their families, at their darkest hour of need. I know that the people I love were given the best care possible medically, but also were treated with dignity and respect.
There is so little we can do when our best friends are hurting - all we can do is be there when they need us with open arms and a glass of wine.......it turns out you can also agree to punish your body for the people you love by agreeing to run a half marathon with only 5 weeks to train!
To ensure the hospice has all the funds it needs to support more people through their darkest times - wherever and whenever they are needed - and in loving memory of Dave and Jane who played such an important part in my life - I am asking for your support - no matter how big or small.
Thank you xxxx .
