Story
We are independently fundraising with WISHH, in aid of Hull NICU/NeoFriends Community Support Group.
NeoFriends is a community support group run weekly in the Hull area for any family that has spent time on the Neonatal Unit/Special Care Unit or the Transitional Care Unit with their baby. NeoFriends is a safe space for families to come once they’ve been discharged from the hospital for ongoing support. Its a fun/supportive group for everyone, a way for parents to meet other parents, interact with other families and build connections and friendships with others who have shared a similar experience.
One of our Outreach Nurses Sarah who is on the NeoFriends team will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in September with a friend. This has to be completed in under 12 hours and involves hiking 24 miles, climbing Ingleborough (723m), Whernside (736m) and Pen-y-ghent (694m).
The money raised will go towards buying equipment/toys etc to make the group as successful as possible and hopefully towards putting on a Christmas Party for families past and present to enjoy in December. With some funds the possibilities for this lovely group are endless. We’ve just enjoyed our first NeoFriends Teddy Bears picnic.
We hope you will support us by donating to our sponsorship page. Thank you in advance for all your donations, no matter how big or small, it all helps x
