We want to end pulmonary vascular disease to help people live better and save lives.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have been inspired by William Barratt who is taking part in the Namib ultra marathon of 155 miles in April in memory of Rupert Swift who died from Pulmonary Hypertension, the condition Tom had ....but I have set myself a more modest task !

My walk was to hit the target of walking 208 Miles Not Out in the forty days before Tom would have been forty on April 11th 2024.

Why 208 ? Tom holds the Withyham Cricket Club record for the highest amount of runs scored -Not Out -set on 24th July 2011.

I walked mostly alone on local walks, including on one day a walk to the three local cricket grounds which hold many special memories but also with Tom's much loved dog Otto, and on occasions with granddaughters and also my sister in the mountains of Spain - a place Tom loved- although he was never well enough to walk there.

The Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute (PVRI ) facilitates the global research and development of medication for the treatment of Pulmonary Hypertension and it is for this reason - the chance of helping others that I have chosen this charity.

Our much loved and missed Thomas Julian Seymour Saxty- you were in my thoughts every step of the way and I am pleased to say, I equalled your record on a very muddy but sunny walk on April 5th 2024.

Please think of Tom on his birthday and raise a glass in remembrance of happy times as well as giving generously to help further research. Thank you.
