Story
After repeatedly defying the odds, Christine sadly passed away from Glioblastoma in July.
She was defiant in the face of the challenges this cruel disease bought her, and despite what she was going through, she still found the time and space to be a wonderful friend, Mother and wife.
Christine worked hard for the NHS as a nurse until she became unwell, this nurturing care was clear in her friendships-and the many wild birds she tended to!
Her compassion for nature and animals was another way in which she nursed- rescuing dogs, seagulls, ducks…! (Sometimes people too)
Many people were touched by her selfless kindness, so to remember her it seems fitting to donate to the charity which funds brain tumour research.
Christine was adamant she did not want anyone else to suffer as she had.
Brain Tumour Research are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
The amount raised will fund a day of research in Christine’s name, a plaque will be placed at the research centre in memory of her; and her donation.
If Christine touched your life please consider donating what you are able to.
