Story

Help keep canals alive - Brecon canal means a lot to me. It's absolutely beautiful, tranquil, stunning scenery and wildlife and good for so many people to use for walking, running and cycling. This is my favorite time of year seeing the ducklings and cygnets in the canal. Saw this chance to help and give back to an area that means so much to many.

Almost nine million people live less than a mile from one of the Canal & River Trusts waterways, making them popular and accessible places to exercise. But the nation's ageing canals are under threat, with costly repairs required to keep them open for the communities who enjoy them and for the wildlife that depends on them.

Together we can help nature flourish, protect the heritage of our canals in the face of climate change and deliver health, happiness and wellbeing to millions of people.

I will be running the 26.2 miles in June and would love to help raise funds for the Canal & River Trust.

Please help with any small donation that you can spare - thank you!!
