Story
What are three Matrons, one Ward Sister and one Deputy Director of Nursing from Bristol Royal Hospital for Children doing cycling from London to Amsterdam, I hear you ask? Not just trying to get out of work, but to raise money for our hospital charity!
We have decided to travel over 300 miles on two wheels as we have seen first-hand the benefits of money raised for the Grand Appeal to patients, their families and staff.
We have a mixture of fitness abilities so this cycle will really push everyone to their limits. The charity funds life-saving, pioneering and specialist medical equipment to help save the lives of babies and children in Bristol Royal Hospital for Children alongside creative programmes to enhance a child’s stay in hospital.
We are as nervous about raising enough money for the charity as we are about cycling through four countries, so please donate as much as little or you can. We promise all the money raised will go to the fantastic Grand Appeal and not on five massages at the finish line!
Thank you
Sarah, Liz, Fern, Abi and Beth
