Story
We have all been touched by cancer one way or another over our lifetimes. Some of us more recently. There is nothing that can be done to take away the horror of cancer or other life limiting illnesses but there are organisations like Sue Ryder that can support the sufferers in the final months of life and continue to support their families navigate life without their loved ones.
We have decided as a group of friends to use the starlight walk as an opportunity to get together, under the stars, to not only celebrate the life of someone special but to help raise much needed funds to ensure no one faces death or grief alone.
£20 could pay for a patient’s meals for the day in one of our hospices. We always do our best to cater for someone’s individual preferences and dietary requirements.
£25 could fund an hour of expert care, so our Sue Ryder doctors and nurses can help manage patients’ pain and symptoms.
£40 could provide our personalised text support service Sue Ryder Grief Coach to someone who is grieving for a year, as well as gentle coaching for friends and family who want to support them.
