Donate today to SET ME FREE from AARCS' shelter on Saturday Sept. 16th for the AARCS 'Kenneled for a Cause' Block Party! The first $500 I raise qualifies ME to be KENNELED in an animal shelter dog run on-site the day of the event. The rest of my set BREAKOUT BAIL is to set me free! Please HELP ME help animals!
Daniel and I volunteer with the cat program at Aarcs (Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society). Over the summer months we have learned a lot, and found it very rewarding.
Aarcs has a positive, healthy atmosphere and is well run, efficient and productive on a shoestring budget. (Several of the corporate companies I have worked for could learn from them!)
Each month in Calgary alone, over 200 cats, and 50 to 70 dogs are given care, and 200 of the cats and around 50 dogs are adopted that same month; it is a big turn around of animals.
In our regular volunteering, Daniel and I have found nearly all the animals to be friendly and good natured. They love their cuddles, want to be petted and spend time with us. The cats have great purring engines. There are lots of kittens at the shelter currently and it is a pleasure to care for them.
Funds raised through the event will benefit the hundreds of animals in AARCS' care. AARCS' ultimate goal is to raise $70,000 for the animals — but we can't do it without your support! Learn more at aarcs.ca/party
I hope you can share in my love for these vulnerable creatures, and help me reach my fundraising goal. Everything counts; nothing is too small. Thank you!
