Mount Mulanje Climb 2025 · 21 June 2025 to 23 June 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
In June 2025 I’m planning to return to Malawi to climb Mount Mulanje, Malawi’s highest peak - literally translated as the unreachable peak. Our small group will have to navigate some tricky climbs and rocky terrain on this 3 day trail with the aim of raising much needed funds for Open Arms Malawi.
(The trip is completely self funded, so any support you may provide will go directly to this life changing charity)
Imogen & I visited Open Arms, in Malawi in September 2024. I soon understood Malawi’s nickname of “the warm heart of Africa” despite its high level of poverty. We spent time working in Open Arms’ Infant Home in Mangochi as well as visiting outreach projects in Blantyre where the charity supports vulnerable children with food, clothes and medication.
This was Imogen’s 2nd visit so it was really special to visit a nursery school which Imogen & her friends had helped to build in 2019 and is now thriving with 90 pupils - plus Open Arms gives these children a vital daily bowl of porridge.
On my 2025 visit I will be very excited to see the first fruits of the charities’ newly implemented Agricultural Programme which will provide a family with the appropriate seeds, fertilizers, tools and agricultural advice to hopefully grow their way out of poverty within 3 years.
Having witnessed first hand the life changing difference Open Arms makes to many children, I’m keen to raise further funds to support more children with the food, medicine and clothes they require. By donating today, you'll be helping to build brighter futures not just for the children who need it right now, but for the next generation to come.
Thank you for your support!
