The English Channel swim is seen as the Mount Everest of all swims as more people have climbed Mount Everest than have swum the English Channel. Swimmers will take part in a relay team of 6 from Dover to France, with the swim taking 12 - 18 hours.

Story

The English Channel swim, akin to Mount Everest in swimming, has fewer successful swimmers than climbers.

I’ll be joining a 6-person relay team, swimming from Dover to France in 12-18 hours in July 2025.

Drowning, a silent epidemic, claims 236,000 lives annually, many being children. It's the 3rd leading cause of unintentional injury death worldwide, representing preventable losses. SwimTayka's mission: give disadvantaged communities access to swimming teachers, providing life skills and creating a legacy for today's children to teach the next generation.

SwimTayka aims to reduce drowning's impact on families and communities, empowering them with essential swimming skills. The organization fosters a connection between children and local water environments, emphasizing ecosystem preservation. Combining swimming lessons, environmental education, and community engagement, SwimTayka strives to make a lasting difference in children's lives and their communities.
