Story
Cancer has been a lurking shadow throughout my life affecting loved ones, but the last couple of years have taken the biscuit with numerous friends and family members receiving Stage 4 diagnoses - some we have already lost and some continue to suffer.
From Papa T's prostate cancer, to Ottie's neuroblastoma, to Mark's pancreatic, to Gendry's various masses, for the loved ones recently diagnosed with Bowel cancer and no doubt the plethora of other types to appear, cancer is utterly colouring our lives at the moment.
Inspired by the phenomenal challenges that my sisters undertook over the past year (Sarah cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats and Jenn running from Morecambe Pier to Saltburn Pier), I have decided to undertake a series of challenges throughout 2024 to raise as much money for Cancer Research as possible.
My current list of challenges are below, but more will likely be added:
* Head Shave - COMPLETE 06/12/23
* Swim a Marathon in January - COMPLETED 30/01/24
* Walk 100 miles over February
* Skip 100 times a day in March
* Firewalk - COMPLETED 15/03/24
* 100 pushups a day in April
* Tough Mudder - Booked for 10/08/24
* Shoot 1000 arrows in September
* Skydive - Date TBC
I will be tracking my exploits via my health & fitness Insta https://www.instagram.com/d20s.and.deadlifts/
