Story

Hello to you all,

Bear with me, most of you will know I am never succinct!

So... despite me putting my head in the sand, I can't escape the fact that I turn 50 in early October.

Friends and family have repeatedly asked how I am going to celebrate.

Most of you will know that it has not been an easy few months for me so a party is not on the cards.

I am lucky enough to have two healthy beautiful children and a loving husband, something I am incredibly grateful for every day. Sadly, that is not the same for everyone.

To mark my birthday, on Saturday 5th October I have decided to abseil down Derby Cathedral with both of the children. Kal is going to be camera man on the ground. (No bum shots please.... you wouldn't believe the predictive text issues I had over those four words!!)

This event is in support of Rainbows. They operate the only hospice in the East Midlands for children and young people with life limiting conditions. It is a place where the children and their families can find care and support. Rainbows' incredible team of people help relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, support parents and siblings through their bereavements and care for children until the end.

To give them and me a happy heart I would be very grateful for any donations in support of the event.

Thank you and sending love to you all.

Sarah
