Story

In August 2024 we received the devastating news that my dad has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease.

Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.

My dad has always been an active person with a love of sport, cars and helping others. Unfortunately since being diagnosed, these hobbies have been taken away from him as he has lost most of the use of his arms. He continues to have a positive outlook on life and we are all hoping that with the generosity of others, a cure may not be too far away.

In April I will be running (or hobbling!) my way around the Brighton Marathon to raise money for this very important cause which is close to my heart. I’d be very grateful for any donations to support the life changing research and support for MND.

Thank you in advance! X
