Story
I finally have the opportunity to tick off one from my bucket list and achieve my dream of dancing with a professional partner. On 11th November I will be dancing a ballroom or Latin dance (to be confirmed) in a charity ‘Strictly’ competition. I get to wear the dress, complete with make up and hair, and maybe the tan!! To say I’m excited is an understatement but I’m also terrified! To make the experience complete, I able to achieve my dream whilst also raising money for a charity close to my heart - Stick ‘n’ Step. Every blister, embarrassing moment and achy muscles will be worth it to give the amazing children who attend Stick ‘n’ Step a chance to achieve their dreams.
Thank you for any donation you are able to make - it will make a big difference to the many children and families that attend Stick 'n' Step.
Stick ‘n’ Step is a charity that enables, inspires, and supports children with cerebral palsy and their families. We support children and young people with cerebral palsy up to the age of 25 through the provision of free weekly conductive education (CE) sessions. Sessions are delivered by highly skilled professionals from specialist centres in Wallasey and Runcorn and are designed to help each child reach their personal potential in terms of mobility, confidence, and independence.
Stick ‘n’ Step receives no government funding, and relies greatly on supporters. The sponsorship money raised will help to fund and deliver services to over 100 families across the North West each year.
