Liverpool Cathedral Abseil · 8 July 2023

We raise charitable funds to enhance patient experience

Story

This July I will be abseiling down Liverpool Cathedral to raise money for Liverpool’s Women Hospital Charity.

Liverpool Cathedral is the largest cathedral in Britain, and the eighth largest church in the world! The abseil will take place on Saturday July 8th and I have set myself a target of £300.

This year GO! has chosen Liverpool women’s hospital charity as its fundraising partner because the work they do has directly helped members of our team this year. LWH care for over 1,000 poorly and preterm new-borns and they perform around 1,000 IVF cycles every year. The neonatal unit looks after seriously sick babies, and the oncology unit does incredible work in identifying and treating female cancers.

The hospital is approaching its 30th birthday and over the past three decades they continue to lead the way in women’s health offering the best care for women, babies, and their families. Every year they deliver over 7500 babies - I was actually born there myself!

Any donations would be greatly appreciated!
