Story

Thank you for reading my Page. My name is Sarah and I’m a volunteer fundraiser at WildHeart Animal Sanctuary over the past seven years, I’ve fundraised over £15,000 to help rescue the BIG cats in care, I’ve abseiled down The Spinnaker Tower, Run 100 miles in 28 days, lost a stone in weight in a month, given up a car for 10% of the year, and last years challenge was shaving all my hair off for new rehomed 🐯 🐯 Softi and Toph, which has raised nearly £7,000. This year it’s a new challenge as I’ve never fund raised for bears before so this year I’ve decided to go naked, that’s right, naked! I will raise £5,000 for 🐻 brothers Benji and Balu, this will pay for their pump and filter that will be fitted in their Big Pool. And a great way to celebrate the new pool try out myself, so I will be going and trying out their new pool as soon as its built, and as soon as I have raised £5000.

Here’s what the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary Have to Say, Helps Us Rescue Balu & Benji 🐻 🐻

Brothers Benji and Balu have spent most of their lives on the side of a restaurant, surviving off scraps from the restaurant and customers. Animal welfare standards are low in Azerbaijan with limited enforcement of the few legal protections that exist. Both bears were malnourished and had significant damage to their teeth from bar-biting, a common stress indicator. The damage to Balu’s teeth was so severe that he had to have two teeth extracted upon examination.

We have a suitable area earmarked within our site but we need your help to create an inspiring place for our rescue bears to call home.

Every pound raised can help us reach our goal of £150,000 to ensure a suitable home and transport for these worthy animals.

Help us give these deserving bears a second chance at life by donating today!
