Story
On 26th June 2024, I am taking part in my first ever skydive. It's something I have wanted to do for years and was actually the first thing I booked for myself after retiring in January. I'm very excited, jumping from 13,000 feet, with 50 seconds of freefall at speeds of up to 120mph!
After a rewarding career working in the voluntary sector, I know how small and simple things can make a huge difference to people who are living very different lives.
For many years, Crisis has been a charity close to my heart. I am lucky enough to have a roof over my head, but far too many people do not. Having no fixed address is the biggest barrier to so many things in life that we take for granted.
But more than that, it's the feeling that you have been forgotten, that you don't matter and that no one is there for you.
Crisis is on a mission to end homelessness once and for all. This is something I am incredibly passionate about and with your help I know even the smallest amount can have the biggest impact on helping someone who needs to know they are not alone.
So please support me in helping Crisis by donating whatever you can as I take a leap into the wide blue yonder!
